Month 1 = Psychic Space
In this first month, we’re going to intentionally create space in our hearts, minds, and physical realities, so we can hold our creative practice with spaciousness. There is so much noise in the world right now. And rightly so in many ways. But still, we need to breathe. We’ll create space by exploring tiny openings in our lives. A pinhole of sky. Literally, figuratively. Practically this looks like short meditations and exercises to connect with this quality of space. What can we drop to make space to hear our own thoughts and hearts? How can we attune to what’s alive for us?
Month 2 = Intuition and Vision.
Built upon the foundation of spaciousness, we’ll begin to hear our intuition more clearly. We’ll write a vision for our creative worlds that feels inspiring. This vision will live with us and beside us for the next seven months (and potentially beyond). It will be the North Star. A living document of our dreams.
Month 3 = Healing & Beliefs
We’ll explore — what do we believe about the vision we just wrote? What feels possible or impossible? We’ll locate the places that feel sticky, untrue, challenging, perplexing, painful, and work on them through EFT/Tapping and journaling. This month is a deep one and we will explore what is specific to you. Don’t be scared - it feels good in the end, I think :)
Month 4 = Skill Building & Essence
The reality is that creativity is not just a flimsy dream. It’s something that’s invested in with time, care, and patience. We’ll look into places where we see a need for specific growth (like, honing a musical instrument, a particular writing skill, your vocal fluency, or another skill related to your practice) and explore how we can invest more intentional time and energy there. We’ll also explore the essence we want to call forth (visual, spiritual, aesthetic, energetic) without putting yourself in a box.
Month 5 = Collaboration + Community
Here we explore collaboration and community, and how we relate to both. We can make plans for how we want to engage or relate differently. What holds us back? Who do we feel at home with? Who or where are we drawn to? What risks can we take in the spirit of connection? We will also look at patterning around how we relate to ourselves / others, how safe we feel, and what comes up when we reach out.
Month 6 = Wealth and Abundance
Okay, this is a big one. Wealth can mean so much beyond money, but it also does mean money. I believe that creatives should talk about money way more often and way more transparently. I witness a lot of avoidance and poverty mindset in creative circles, and I say that knowing that it absolutely applied/applies to me, too. And yes there is good reason for why that exists, it is the result of the systems we live in, especially in the US. Only in the past 2 years or so have I really genuinely tended to my financial foundations and learned so much. While I am not “there” yet, I can see how much I’ve grown. I want to talk about money here, our beliefs around it, our self valuing, our systems, how we nourish and sustain ourselves as creatives right now, and in the future.
I also want to look beyond money—what does it look like to hold creative wealth, spiritually? What can abundance look like for us, no matter our outer circumstances? Is our mind a loving, safe, and deeply supportive place, regardless of what’s happening in the world, in the markets, in our relationships?
Month 7 = Holistic Marketing
How can we promote our important, unique, profound work in a way that honors our spirit and doesn’t sell us out? And how can we do that in a way that doesn’t result in hiding, staying quiet, or in the background. Our creations deserve our devotion, in whatever ways we can show up for it. We have to find the ways that feel good for us, but don’t let us collapse into shut down, fear, or “moving aside.” We need to get loud about our work and feel deserving to up a lot of space, but maybe we can do it in a quiet way. Gently.
Month 8 = Inner Fulfillment
We will come full circle back to the vision we wrote in month two. We revise, revisit, re-evaluate where we are. We explore the concept of inner fulfillment at the top of our creative pyramid. We work on what it feels like NOT to outsource our worth to numbers, likes, gate keepers, and metrics. We work on claiming our creative worth from a deep, inner well of love, curiosity, and care. Only from that place can we talk about what metrics we might want to achieve and why.
Month 9 = Closing
This is a month to share any work we’ve made, our reflections from the past nine months, and somatically tend to anything that is continuing to pop up for us. We envision our next steps, creating a plan going forward and envisioning and holding our future selves in our (and each others’) minds eye.
